Below are several drawings used in the patent application
for the Winchester Cannon. In the application, designer Charles
Griffith describes the cannon as: "an improvement in breech-loading
cannon, the object being to produce at low cost for manufacture
a simple, safe and effective cannon designed with particular reference
for use as a saluting cannon."
