Modern Winchester Cannon Manufacturing
The Bellmore Johnson Company is proud to have modernized
the production of the Winchester Cannon without compromising it's
historic design. One change of note is the finish on the black cannon.
Parts which were once chemically blued (barrel) and japan enameled
(undercarriage & wheels) are now finshed with a more modern
and durable black electrocoating.

The photo above shows a brass barrel being shaped
from solid round bar stock in a CNC (computer numerical control)
lathe. The lathe makes several passes to taper the barrel then changes
tooling and cuts the threads for the trunnion.
